Northeast Indianapolis Pharmacy Target of Early Morning Commercial Break-In

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a series of commercial burglaries after two local pharmacies were broken into within hours of each other on December 17, 2025. This first incident occurred during the early morning hours, when suspects forced their way into a pharmacy on the city's northeast side.

According to police reports, the burglars bypassed the store's security system and targeted the pharmaceutical counter, stealing prescription medications before fleeing. The break-in triggered silent alarms, but the suspects had already departed by the time officers arrived on the scene. Police are examining surveillance footage from the store to determine if the burglars were masked and to gather details on their escape vehicle.

Given the short timeframe between this incident and a second pharmacy break-in, detectives believe the crimes may be linked.
