Westminster Man Arrested for $140,000 Vape Shop Theft in Irvine

IRVINE, CA — A Westminster man has been arrested in connection with a major burglary at an Irvine specialty vape store, where approximately $140,000 worth of merchandise and cash were stolen.

The commercial burglary occurred in the early morning hours, when the suspect allegedly forced entry into the establishment. According to the Irvine Police Department, the suspect systematically cleared shelves of premium electronic cigarettes, vape juices, and related high-value accessories, in addition to targeting the store's cash register.

Through investigative efforts and the analysis of surveillance video, Irvine detectives successfully identified the suspect as a male resident of Westminster. Police executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence, recovering a significant portion of the stolen inventory and arresting the suspect without incident.

The suspect faces charges of commercial burglary and grand theft. He was booked into the Orange County Jail. Police are continuing to investigate whether he acted alone or is connected to other recent commercial burglaries targeting similar businesses in the region.
