Hinds County burglary chase ends in crash at Jackson after-school center; suspects arrested

JACKSON, Mississippi — A high-speed police chase through Hinds County ended in a dramatic crash at a local after-school community center in Jackson, culminating in the arrest of several burglary suspects.

The pursuit began after Hinds County sheriff's deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description of one involved in a series of residential burglaries. When deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect vehicle sped off, leading officers on a hazardous chase across city lines.

Crash at Community Center

The chase concluded when the fleeing vehicle lost control and crashed into the exterior area of an active after-school facility. Fortunately, no children or staff members inside the center were injured in the collision. Following the impact, deputies quickly surrounded the vehicle and apprehended the suspects as they attempted to flee on foot.

The suspects now face multiple charges, including burglary, felony fleeing, and reckless endangerment. Authorities are investigating if they are connected to other unsolved break-ins in the Hinds County area.
