JSO SWAT Team Responds to Armed Burglary at Northside Residence

JACKSONVILLE, FL โ€” A heavy police presence, including a SWAT team from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), responded to a residence on the city's Northside on Tuesday afternoon following reports of an armed burglary.

The incident, which took place on December 9, 2025, drew significant law enforcement resources to the neighborhood. According to JSO, officers were dispatched to a residential property after receiving reports that an armed individual had entered the premises.

Due to the potential threat and the armed nature of the suspect, a JSO SWAT team was called to assist. SWAT officers established a perimeter around the home and ultimately cleared the structure to ensure the safety of the occupants and neighbors.

Details regarding any arrests or suspects remain limited as investigators continue to process the scene. JSO has not reported any injuries from the operation, and the investigation remains active.
