Joliet Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect in Circle K Gas Station Heist

JOLIET, IL — Authorities in Joliet are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a local Circle K gas station on Monday afternoon, fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident took place on September 15, 2025. According to the Joliet Police Department, the suspect entered the convenience store and gas station, brandished a weapon, and demanded money from the cashier. Fearing for their safety, the employee complied with the demands, handing over cash from the register.

The suspect then fled the establishment in an unknown direction. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the emergency call, but a preliminary search of the surrounding area did not locate the perpetrator. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the encounter.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the gas station's security cameras to gather a more detailed description of the suspect. Joliet Police are also asking any members of the public who may have witnessed suspicious activity near the gas station around the time of the robbery to come forward.
