Attempted Burglary at South Plaza Restaurant Blocked by Secure Glass

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — An attempted break-in at a popular restaurant in the South Plaza neighborhood was cut short when a suspect failed to smash through the establishment's security glass using a brick.

According to local reports, the incident occurred early in the morning when the suspect approached the restaurant carrying a heavy brick. Surveillance footage and physical evidence indicate that the individual repeatedly struck the glass doors or windows in an attempt to gain entry, but the glass held, preventing the suspect from entering the building.

Security Measures Prevent Entry

Business owners in the South Plaza area have increasingly invested in reinforced glass and advanced alarm systems in response to a rise in commercial property crimes. In this case, those investments paid off, leaving the restaurant with structural damage to the window but preventing any loss of inventory, cash, or equipment.
