Two Romanian Nationals Charged with Stealing Over 100 Boxes of Smoke Detectors from KC Home Depot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two Romanian nationals have been arrested and charged in connection with a major retail theft operation targeting a Home Depot store in Kansas City, Missouri, where they allegedly stole more than 100 boxes of smoke detectors.

The incident came to light after store security noticed suspicious behavior in the aisles and alerted local police. According to the criminal complaint, the suspects bypassed point-of-sale terminals with cartloads of smoke detector units, valued at thousands of dollars.
