Two Arrested Following Armed Robbery Investigation in Kennewick

Two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Kennewick early Thursday morning, according to law enforcement officials. The swift apprehension followed a coordinated effort by patrol officers and detectives.

The incident was reported to dispatchers after the victims were confronted by two armed suspects who demanded personal belongings and cash. The suspects reportedly brandished a firearm during the encounter before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. No physical injuries were reported by the victims during the robbery.

Using descriptions provided by witnesses and surveillance data, Kennewick police officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later in a nearby residential neighborhood. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, leading to the arrest of both occupants without further incident. A search of the vehicle yielded a firearm matching the description given by the victims, as well as the stolen property. Both suspects have been booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery.
