Seven Indicted in Massive Brink's Jewelry Heist Linked to Lancaster

LANCASTER, California — Seven individuals have been indicted by a federal grand jury for their alleged roles in a massive armored truck heist targeting a Brink's transport, a crime widely cited as the largest jewelry theft in modern United States history.

The heist, which originally took place in July 2022, involved the theft of millions of dollars worth of jewelry, gemstones, and luxury watches from a Brink's tractor-trailer. The vehicle was transporting goods from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Los Angeles region when it was burglarized during a scheduled stop along the route.

Following a long and complex multi-agency investigation, prosecutors announced federal charges against the seven suspects. The indictment details a coordinated conspiracy to execute the burglary and subsequently launder or sell the stolen goods, some of which have been traced through Lancaster and the surrounding Antelope Valley area.
