Suspect Hides in Ceiling Before Robbing Lancaster Township Guitar Store

LANCASTER TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania — In an unusual commercial burglary, a suspect successfully hid in the ceiling of a Lancaster Township guitar store before dropping down to burglarize the premises, according to local police reports.

Store employees and investigators believe the suspect entered the building during normal business hours and managed to conceal himself within the drop-ceiling structure. Once the business closed for the night, the suspect descended from the ceiling, bypassed security sensors, and stole several high-value musical instruments and equipment.

The burglary was discovered the following morning by staff members who noticed damage to the ceiling tiles and missing inventory. Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from both inside the establishment and neighboring businesses to trace the suspect's movements.

The Lancaster Township Police Department has released descriptions of the stolen guitars and is appealing to local pawn shops, online music gear platforms, and community members to report any suspicious sales or listings.
