Suspect in Las Vegas Armored Car Robbery Arrested in Texas
LAS VEGAS, NV โ A fugitive wanted in connection with a daring armored car robbery in Las Vegas has been apprehended in Texas after a multi-state investigation. Devonte Devon Jackson, 29, was taken into custody by Texas State Troopers and the FBI, ending a weeks-long search.
The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on July 16, 2025, outside a bank in the 9600 block of West Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas. According to federal court documents, a suspect brandishing a handgun approached an armored truck guard and demanded cash. The suspect successfully made off with approximately $327,620 before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Tracked to Centerville, Texas
Through coordinated intelligence and tracking, law enforcement traced Jackson to Centerville, Texas, where he was stopped and arrested without further incident. Jackson is currently being held in Texas pending extradition back to Nevada to face federal charges.
"The quick apprehension of this suspect is a testament to the seamless coordination between local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies across state lines," said an FBI spokesperson.
Public records reveal that Jackson has a prior criminal history, including a conviction in 2018 for a similar armored truck robbery in which he served probation. He now faces severe federal charges, including interference with commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, which could result in a lengthy prison sentence if convicted.
