Elderly Security Guard, 89, Assaulted by Shoplifters Fleeing Las Vegas Store

LAS VEGAS, NV โ€” A retail theft escalated into physical violence on Thursday, November 6, 2025, leaving an elderly security guard injured.

Las Vegas police reported that shoplifters entered a commercial retail establishment and gathered approximately $300 worth of merchandise. As they attempted to flee the store without paying, the 89-year-old security guard intervened.

During the confrontation, one of the suspects struck the elderly guard in the face, allowing the group to escape with the stolen goods. Medics evaluated the guard at the scene. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the suspects involved in the assault and grand larceny.
