Police Search for Suspect in East Las Vegas Valley Armed Robbery

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is actively requesting assistance from the public as detectives work to identify and apprehend a suspect involved in an armed robbery in the east Las Vegas Valley. Investigators have released security footage descriptions and details of the incident in hopes that someone in the community can provide information leading to an arrest.

The robbery took place during the afternoon at a commercial retail establishment. According to store employees, a man entered the premises, brandished a handgun, and demanded that the cashier empty the register. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect walked out of the store and was last seen heading on foot into a nearby residential area.

Law enforcement arrived on the scene within minutes of the alarm being triggered, but a search of the immediate area did not yield the suspect. The individual is described as a male of medium build, approximately six feet tall, who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and a face covering at the time of the robbery.

Police are urging business owners and residents in the east Las Vegas Valley to review their personal security camera footage from the afternoon of the incident. Anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, is encouraged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Section or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Nevada, which may offer a financial reward for information leading to an indictment.
