Detectives Search for Suspect Accused of $5K Retail Theft near Buffalo and Lake Mead

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Retail Theft Section is asking for assistance from the community to identify a suspect accused of grand larceny at a local retail store.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on the morning of Monday, May 19, 2025, at a specialty business located near the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Buffalo Drive. Investigators state that the suspect entered the business and stole various high-value items, with the total value of the stolen merchandise exceeding $5,000.

The suspect is described as a white male, estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, standing 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 220 pounds. He had a prominent beard and was observed wearing a baseball cap, a dark long-sleeve shirt, black sunglasses, black athletic shorts, black shoes, and a black sports watch.
