Summerlin Nail Salon Targeted in Bizarre Robbery Involving Fire Extinguishers

LAS VEGAS, NV — A nail salon in the Summerlin neighborhood of Las Vegas became the scene of a chaotic and unusual robbery after suspects sprayed the interior of the business with fire extinguishers during the crime.

The incident occurred on Monday, sending employees and customers into a panic. According to preliminary reports from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the suspects entered the salon, demanded valuables, and proceeded to discharge multiple fire extinguishers inside the building. The discharge created a dense cloud of white chemical powder, obscuring vision and causing respiratory discomfort to those inside.

Under the cover of the chemical smoke, the robbers grabbed cash and personal items before fleeing the scene. First responders arrived shortly after to treat occupants for minor inhalation issues, but no major physical injuries were reported. The business suffered significant property damage due to the chemical residue coating furniture, equipment, and ventilation systems.

Police are reviewing security camera footage from neighboring businesses in the Summerlin retail complex to identify the suspects and track down their getaway vehicle. The investigation remains active.
