Surprise Discovery at Northeast Lincoln Business

On September 17, 2025, employees of a northeast Lincoln business arrived at work in the morning to find a shocking scene: their office space had been completely ransacked, and an unknown man was sound asleep in one of the office chairs. The Lincoln Police Department was immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate the commercial burglary.

Ransacked Premises and Suspect Found Asleep

According to police reports, the suspect had forced entry into the building overnight. Once inside, he ransacked multiple offices, throwing paperwork onto the floor, overturning filing cabinets, and rifling through desk drawers. After the extensive disruption and search for valuables, the suspect apparently decided to rest, sitting down in an office chair where he fell into a deep sleep. When the business owners arrived in the morning, they discovered the disarray and subsequently spotted the sleeping man. They ordered him to leave, prompting the suspect to wake up and quickly flee the scene on foot.

Milford Man Apprehended by Police

Officers arriving at the scene obtained a physical description of the intruder and conducted a search of the surrounding neighborhood. They located and arrested a suspect matching the description nearby. The suspect, identified as a resident of Milford, Nebraska, was booked into the Lancaster County Jail. He faces charges of commercial burglary and criminal mischief for the damage caused to the office space, with bail set at his initial hearing.
