Lincoln Crime Stoppers Seek Public Help in Gateway Mall Theft and Brewskyโs Break-In
Crime Stoppers Appeals for Information
On March 4, 2026, the Lincoln/Lancaster County Crime Stoppers released an appeal seeking information from the public to help identify suspects involved in two separate commercial crimes. The Lincoln Police Department is investigating both incidents and has released surveillance footage details in hopes of generating active leads from the community.
Tablet Theft at Gateway Mall
The first incident occurred at a retail store within the Gateway Mall, located near 61st and O Streets. According to investigators, suspects entered the store during normal business hours, acting as customers. They targeted electronic tablets on display, utilizing specialized tools to bypass the security tethering system. The suspects managed to leave the store with multiple high-value devices, which went undetected by employees until a subsequent inventory check.
Brewskyโs Food & Spirits Break-In
The second incident was a late-night commercial burglary at a Brewskyโs Food & Spirits location in Lincoln. Surveillance video captured suspects forcing entry through a side door after the business had closed for the night. Once inside, the burglars ransacked the bar and register area, stealing cash and select inventory before fleeing. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding either the Gateway Mall tablet theft or the Brewskyโs break-in to contact Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
