Eagle Rock smoke shop targeted in vehicle smash-and-grab burglary

EAGLE ROCK, Los Angeles — An early morning smash-and-grab burglary left an Eagle Rock smoke shop severely damaged after thieves used a vehicle to crash through the front entrance of the business.

The incident occurred on February 17, 2025. According to local authorities, the suspects utilized a vehicle as a battering ram, reversing or driving it directly into the glass storefront of the smoke shop. The impact shattered the security gates and storefront glass, allowing the thieves quick entry into the premises.

Once the storefront was breached, several individuals rushed inside to grab merchandise before fleeing the scene in the same or an accompanying getaway vehicle. Store owners and police are currently assessing the total value of the stolen goods and the extensive structural damage to the property. Detectives are seeking any dashcam or surveillance video from the area that may help identify the vehicles or suspects involved.
