Deputies search for suspect in Los Angeles County Lowe's plant theft

LOS ANGELES, California โ€” Sheriff's deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft of plants from a Lowe's home improvement store in Los Angeles County.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the theft occurred on April 2, 2026. Surveillance footage captured the suspect loading various plants and garden merchandise into a vehicle before departing the premises without paying for the items. Investigators have released descriptions of the suspect and the vehicle involved in hopes that members of the community can provide information leading to an identification.

While plant thefts may seem minor compared to commercial burglaries, authorities emphasize that retail theft of all scales impacts local businesses and communities. Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or the incident is urged to contact the local Sheriff's station or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
