AutoZone in South Los Angeles Looted During Street Takeover

An AutoZone store in South Los Angeles became the target of large-scale looting and vandalism following a nearby street takeover, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The incident began late in the evening when a crowd gathered for an illegal street takeover, featuring stunt driving and spectators blocking intersections. The situation escalated when a subgroup of individuals broke into the auto parts store, shattering windows and doors. Video footage shows dozens of people entering the establishment and fleeing with various items, including motor oils, tools, and car accessories, leaving the store's interior in complete disarray.

LAPD officers arrived to disperse the crowds, but the majority of the looters had already fled. Police are currently working with store management to estimate the total financial losses and are utilizing social media and traffic videos to identify those involved in the property damage and theft.
