LAPD Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves Armed Suspect Injured at South LA Liquor Store

A police investigation is underway in South Los Angeles after an officer-involved shooting occurred at a local liquor store early Monday morning. The incident happened near the intersection of Broadway and Manchester Avenue, drawing a substantial law enforcement response and closing down several blocks for investigation.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding an armed individual inside the commercial establishment around 3:00 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered an armed suspect. The situation rapidly escalated, resulting in officers discharging their weapons and striking the suspect.

The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department before being transported to a local hospital. Police officials stated that the suspect is currently in stable condition under police custody. A firearm was recovered at the scene of the shooting, according to investigators.
