Brazen Daytime Armed Robbery: Rolex Watch Ripped Off Victim's Wrist at Sherman Oaks Gas Station
A brazen daytime armed robbery at a gas station in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles has left local business owners and residents deeply concerned about rising crime in the area. The entire incident was captured on high-definition security cameras.
Violent Ambush at the Pump
The robbery took place at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Chevron gas station located at the busy intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard. The victim was standing by his vehicle fueling when a black Audi sedan pulled up abruptly behind him. Three male suspects wearing hoodies and face masks jumped out of the Audi and rushed the victim, initiating a violent struggle.
Rolex Watch Stolen
During the assault, the suspects overpowered the victim and forcibly ripped a Rolex watch from his wrist. The watch is estimated to be worth between $5,000 and $25,000. Investigators reported that at least one of the suspects brandished or possessed a concealed handgun during the encounter. After securing the luxury watch, the suspects scrambled back into the black Audi and fled westbound on Ventura Boulevard.
Community Shock and Investigation
Witnesses and nearby shop owners expressed shock over the audacity of the attack, which occurred in broad daylight on one of the busiest commercial corridors in the San Fernando Valley. Police describe the suspects as young males, approximately 18 years old, and standing about 6 feet tall. The Los Angeles Police Department is actively reviewing the surveillance footage and urging anyone with information to come forward.
