Two Suspects Detained After Attempted Burglary in San Fernando Valley

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, CA โ€” Two burglary suspects are in custody after attempting to break into a home in the San Fernando Valley area, according to officials with the Los Angeles Police Department.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. A homeowner alerted authorities after noticing suspicious individuals attempting to bypass security and force entry into the home. Responding officers arrived on the scene within minutes and established a containment perimeter around the property.

The suspects attempted to flee the scene on foot as officers closed in, but they were quickly intercepted and detained by the responding units. Both suspects were arrested on charges of attempted residential burglary. No injuries were reported, and police praised the resident's quick action in calling for emergency assistance immediately.
