LAPD Investigates Linked Break-Ins at West Hollywood Ice Cream Parlor and L.A. Nail Salon

Law enforcement authorities in Southern California are investigating a potential pattern behind two recent commercial burglaries. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has announced that break-ins targeting a West Hollywood ice cream parlor and a nail salon in Los Angeles, occurring in close temporal proximity, are highly likely to be the work of the same suspects.

The first incident occurred under the cover of darkness when suspects shattered the front glass door of a well-known ice cream parlor in West Hollywood, quickly accessing the cash register and fleeing with an undisclosed amount of currency. Shortly thereafter, a similar forced-entry burglary was reported at a nail salon located just a few miles away. In both cases, the point of entry, speed of execution, and targeted assets showed striking similarities.

Business owners in both areas have been advised to remain vigilant, secure cash drawers overnight, and ensure their security cameras are fully operational. LAPD detectives are currently analyzing forensic evidence and gathering security footage from both locations to piece together descriptions of the suspects and any vehicles involved in the crimes.
