Second San Fernando Valley Break-In Sparks Urgent LAPD Investigation
LOS ANGELES, CA โ A second residential break-in in the San Fernando Valley has prompted the Los Angeles Police Department to launch an intensive investigation into potential connections between these crimes.
Forced Entry and Suspect Escape
The incident took place on the morning of January 21, shortly after another nearby home was targeted by armed intruders. In this second occurrence, suspects forced open a rear glass door to gain entry to the property while the homeowners were away. Neighbors reported seeing a suspicious dark sedan idling near the property shortly before the alarm sounded.
Although the home was unoccupied at the time, the intruders managed to ransack several rooms, escaping with high-value electronics and personal jewelry. The security alarm was triggered during the break-in, causing the suspects to flee before officers could intercept them.
A Call for Enhanced Vigilance
Law enforcement officials are investigating whether the same group is responsible for both Valley break-ins. Investigators are asking anyone with dashcam or security camera footage from the area to come forward. Residents are encouraged to lock all gates, secure sliding glass doors with secondary bars, and keep outdoor lighting active during the night.
