25-Year-Old Man Killed in Attempted Robbery of Louisville Business

LOUISVILLE, KY — The Louisville Metro Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after a 25-year-old man was shot and killed during an attempted robbery at a local business on Thursday afternoon.

LMPD officers responded to emergency reports of gunfire at the establishment. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical technicians performed life-saving measures, but the young man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later identified the victim as a 25-year-old Louisville resident.

Preliminary reports indicate that one or more suspects entered the business premises with the intent to commit a robbery. During the course of the confrontation, gunfire erupted, striking the victim. The suspects fled the scene immediately following the shooting and remain at large.

Homicide detectives are actively interviewing witnesses, reviewing security footage from the business, and collecting physical evidence. Authorities have not yet released descriptions of the suspect or suspects.
