Manhunt Underway After East Louisville Home Invasion and Bank Robbery

LOUISVILLE, KY — A manhunt is actively underway in Louisville following a series of events involving a home invasion in the eastern part of the city and a subsequent bank robbery.

Home Invasion Escalates into Commercial Robbery

The incident began early in the morning when an armed intruder forced entry into a residential property in East Louisville. The suspect held the occupants of the home hostage before orchestrating a plan to rob a nearby financial institution. Using the threat of violence against the hostages, the suspect managed to obtain a substantial amount of cash from the bank.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the robbery, releasing the hostages, who did not sustain any severe physical injuries. LMPD immediately deployed units, including K-9 search teams and aerial support, to secure the area and track the suspect's path of escape.
