Louisville Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting After Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home

LOUISVILLE, KY — A domestic dispute turned fatal in Louisville, leading to the arrest of a local man accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and fatally shooting another man inside.

Forced Entry and Fatal Gunfire

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), officers responded to emergency calls reporting a break-in and shots fired at a residential address. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency medical responders, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators quickly determined that the suspect had forced his way into the apartment, where his ex-girlfriend was present alongside the deceased victim. Confronted by the suspect, the victim was shot multiple times. The ex-girlfriend was not physically harmed during the altercation but was deeply shaken by the incident.

Arrest and Charges

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting but was located and taken into custody by LMPD officers shortly thereafter. He faces several severe charges, including murder, first-degree burglary, and wanton endangerment. He is currently being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections pending his arraignment.
