LMPD Searches for Suspect Who Robbed Victims at Gunpoint, Chased 12-Year-Old

LOUISVILLE, KY — Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers are searching for an armed suspect who robbed multiple victims at gunpoint and chased a 12-year-old child into an apartment unit.

Armed Robbery and Pursuit of a Minor

According to police reports, the incident occurred at an apartment complex where the suspect confronted a group of individuals outside. Brandishing a firearm, the suspect demanded personal belongings and valuables. During the altercation, a 12-year-old child attempted to flee the scene to seek safety inside a nearby apartment.

The suspect reportedly pursued the child into the building, forcing entry into the residence. Inside the apartment, the suspect continued to threaten the occupants before fleeing the scene with stolen property. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported, though the victims, particularly the young child, were deeply traumatized by the event.

Police Appeal to the Public

Detectives are actively gathering security camera footage from the apartment complex and surrounding areas to identify the suspect. LMPD describes the suspect as an armed and dangerous individual and cautions members of the public not to approach him if spotted.
