Preston Highway Jewelry Store Robbed by Hammer-Wielding Suspects

LOUISVILLE, KY โ€” Police are searching for suspects after a jewelry store located on Preston Highway was hit by a violent smash-and-grab robbery.

The owner of the establishment reported that the robbers entered the store carrying a hammer, which they used to violently smash open the glass display cases. Within moments, the suspects grabbed various pieces of high-value jewelry and fled the scene before officers could arrive.

LMPD officers responded to the scene and began gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. The owner expressed shock and distress over the incident, noting the significant damage caused to the store in addition to the stolen inventory. Anyone with information on the suspects or the incident is asked to contact the Louisville Metro Police Department.
