Lynchburg Police Search for Suspect in Timberlake Road Vape Store Burglary

LYNCHBURG, VA — The Lynchburg Police Department is requesting public assistance as they search for a suspect involved in a break-in at a vape store off Timberlake Road late Monday evening.

On December 22, 2025, officers were dispatched to the commercial block on Timberlake Road following reports of a business alarm. Upon arrival, officers found the front glass door of the vape establishment shattered and evidence of a hasty burglary inside the shop.

Surveillance footage obtained from the business shows a single suspect entering the property after throwing a heavy object through the glass pane. The individual, dressed in dark clothing, a hooded sweatshirt, and a face covering, quickly ransacked the shelves, stealing various retail products before fleeing the scene on foot before patrol units arrived.

Investigators are analyzing the video footage and forensic evidence collected from the scene to determine the suspect's identity. Police believe the suspect may have had a getaway vehicle parked nearby or fled into the surrounding residential neighborhoods.

Lynchburg detectives are asking business owners and residents in the Timberlake Road corridor to check their security cameras or dashcam footage from the hours surrounding the incident for any suspicious activity or unfamiliar vehicles.
