Lynchburg Police Arrest Suspect Following Burglary at Bojangles Restaurant

LYNCHBURG, Va. — A suspect has been arrested following a commercial burglary at a Bojangles restaurant in Lynchburg, police announced.

The break-in was reported after employees or security noticed signs of forced entry at the fast-food establishment. Officers arriving at the scene confirmed that entry had been gained through a window and that cash registers or other valuables inside the restaurant had been targeted.

Arrest and Charges

Utilizing description details and surveillance footage, Lynchburg Police officers were able to track down and identify a suspect shortly after the incident was reported. The man was arrested and charged with statutory burglary and grand larceny.

The suspect was transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail. The Lynchburg Police Department continues to investigate the incident to determine if the individual may be linked to any other recent commercial break-ins along the same business corridor.
