Teenager Arrested After Attempted Robbery and Auto Theft at Macon's Lo Lo Foods

MACON, Georgia — A local teenager has been arrested and charged by Macon authorities following an attempted robbery and auto theft incident at the Lo Lo Foods store on Tuesday.

Attempted Robbery at Lo Lo Foods

On February 13, 2024, officers responded to a distress call from the Lo Lo Foods store in Macon. According to store employees and witnesses, a teenager entered the premises and attempted to rob the cashier. During the confrontation, the suspect also attempted to steal a vehicle parked outside the establishment, leading to a chaotic scene as employees and patrons intervened.

Police Arrest and Investigation

Deputies arrived quickly at the scene, locating the teenage suspect nearby. The youth was taken into custody without further incident. Investigators confirmed that the suspect was carrying tools commonly used for auto theft and was positively identified by the store staff. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the attempted heist.
