Dollar General Break-In in Macon Ends in Swift Arrest by Bibb County Deputies

MACON, Georgia — A commercial burglary at a local Dollar General store was quickly thwarted by sheriff's deputies early Wednesday morning, resulting in the immediate arrest of a male suspect found with the stolen goods.

Alarm Activation and Response

On October 15, 2025, deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to an activated commercial burglar alarm at the Dollar General store located in Macon. Upon arriving at the scene within minutes, officers discovered signs of forced entry, including a damaged entrance door used to gain access to the retail establishment.

Suspect Apprehended Nearby

Deputies immediately secured the perimeter and conducted a search of the surrounding area. During the sweep, they spotted a suspicious individual fleeing the vicinity.
