Suspect Apprehended After Armed Robbery at East Macon Convenience Store

An armed robbery at a convenience store in East Macon has ended with a suspect in custody, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The incident took place at a local business, where the suspect reportedly brandished a weapon and demanded money from the store's cash register. After securing cash, the suspect attempted to escape the scene. However, responding deputies were able to locate and apprehend the individual shortly after the call was received.

The suspect was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with armed robbery. No injuries were reported to the store employees or customers during the event.
