Macon Man Arrested After Scaling Mattress Store Roof to Tamper with AC Units

A Macon man has been arrested and charged with commercial burglary after scaling the roof of a local mattress store and attempting to dismantle the property's air conditioning units.

Officers responded to reports of suspicious activity at the commercial business. Witnesses observed a male suspect accessing the roof of the building. Upon investigation, deputies found the suspect tampering with the store's outdoor HVAC units, presumably in an attempt to extract valuable copper parts.
