Medford Police Recover Stolen Fire Department Radio Equipment, Suspect Arrested

MEDFORD, OR — The Medford Police Department has successfully recovered vital radio equipment stolen from the Medford Fire Department, leading to the arrest of a local suspect. The incident, which threatened to disrupt emergency communications, concluded quickly thanks to swift investigative action by responding officers on November 27, 2025.

The investigation began immediately after Medford Fire officials reported the disappearance of specialized communication gear. Due to the high value and critical safety role of the equipment, police prioritized the case, utilizing tracking resources and community intelligence to locate the stolen items. Within hours, officers tracked the equipment to a local address, where they recovered the devices fully intact.
