DoorDash Driver Target of Armed Robbery and Carjacking at Raleigh Apartment Complex

MEMPHIS, Tennessee — A routine food delivery turned into a nightmare for a DoorDash driver who was robbed and carjacked at gunpoint in the Raleigh area of Memphis. According to police, the driver had arrived at an apartment complex to drop off an order when they were confronted by armed individuals.

The suspects threatened the driver with firearms, demanding their personal belongings and the keys to their vehicle. After obtaining the items and the car, the suspects fled the apartment complex. The driver, though physically unharmed, was left severely traumatized by the sudden and violent encounter.

Memphis Police Department officers responded to the scene and began a search of the surrounding area, but the stolen vehicle and suspects were not immediately located. Law enforcement is advising delivery drivers to remain vigilant, keep car doors locked, and report any suspicious activity when performing deliveries in the area. The investigation remains open.
