Double Burglary Hits Memphis KFC Locations Within One Hour

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department is currently investigating a pair of early-morning burglaries that targeted two different KFC restaurants within a span of less than an hour. According to authorities, both incidents occurred on September 1, 2025, and appear to follow a similar pattern of forced entry.

The first break-in was reported at approximately 4:15 AM, when officers responded to a commercial burglar alarm. Upon arrival, police discovered signs of forced entry, with suspects having targeted the register area before fleeing the scene. Less than forty-five minutes later, a second alarm was triggered at another KFC location in the city, where responding officers found a near-identical scene of forced entry and property damage.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from both establishments to determine if the break-ins were committed by the same individuals.
