Four Accused of Burglarizing Family Dollar Store in Memphis's Orange Mound Neighborhood

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have arrested and charged four individuals accused of burglarizing a Family Dollar retail store in Memphis's historic Orange Mound neighborhood.

The incident occurred during the late evening hours when officers responded to a commercial burglar alarm triggered at the retail location. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered signs of forced entry at the front entrance of the store. Witnesses and security footage indicated that a group had entered the store and was actively removing merchandise.

Thanks to a prompt response from the Memphis Police Department, officers were able to locate and apprehend four suspects in the immediate vicinity of the store. Much of the stolen merchandise was recovered nearby and returned to the store management.

The four suspects have been charged with commercial burglary and theft of property. Orange Mound community leaders have expressed ongoing concern regarding property crimes affecting local businesses, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and police presence to support neighborhood merchants.
