Surveillance video captures 2 stealing TV from Sushi Sake in Miami

MIAMI, Florida — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects caught on surveillance camera stealing a large flat-screen television from a popular Miami restaurant.

The theft occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Sushi Sake restaurant located at 900 Biscayne Boulevard. Security footage from the establishment shows two individuals entering the restaurant's terrace area, unmounting the big-screen TV, and walking out with it.

The video then captures the suspects carrying the television to a waiting vehicle, loading it into the trunk, and speeding away from the scene. The restaurant's manager reported that this is the second time the terrace has been targeted, noting that the open-air layout in a common building area makes it difficult to secure, particularly given ongoing issues with local vagrancy in the area.

Miami Police have opened an active investigation into the theft and are reviewing nearby traffic and building cameras in an effort to identify the suspects and the getaway vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
