Miami Pet Store Targeted: Woman Accused of Stealing Golden Doodle Puppies Valued at $45,000
MIAMI, FL โ A Miami pet store is reeling after a grand theft incident involving the theft of several high-value puppies. A woman has been accused of taking multiple Golden Doodle puppies, with a combined retail value estimated at approximately $45,000.
According to store employees, the suspect entered the retail location and posed as an interested customer looking to purchase a pet. Taking advantage of a distracted staff member, the suspect managed to secure the puppies and quickly exit the store without paying, disappearing into the surrounding area.
Golden Doodles, a popular crossbreed between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle, are highly sought after and command premium prices in the pet market. Store management quickly contacted the Miami Police Department to report the theft and provided security footage of the suspect to investigators.
Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the woman captured on camera. They are also warning community members to be cautious when purchasing Golden Doodle puppies online or through unverified sellers, as they may be the stolen animals in question.
