Suspect Arrested After Smashing Miami Beach Deli Window and Damaging Security Camera, Police Say

MIAMI BEACH, FL — A surveillance camera captured the moment a burglar broke into a local deli in Miami Beach, leaving behind a trail of destruction before being apprehended by police.

According to the Miami Beach Police Department, the suspect targeted the establishment by smashing a storefront window to gain entry. Once inside, the individual attempted to pry open the cash register. In an effort to conceal his identity and cover his tracks, the suspect also targeted and damaged one of the deli's security cameras. Despite these efforts, video evidence of the break-in was secured, aiding law enforcement in their quick response.

Officers responded to the scene and were able to arrest the man shortly after the incident. He faces multiple charges, including burglary and criminal mischief for the damage caused to the business's window and security equipment.
