Trio accused of breaking into woman’s Miami-Dade home, assaulting her while deputies were nearby

MIAMI-DADE, Florida — Three individuals are behind bars after committing a daring residential burglary and assault in Miami-Dade, seemingly oblivious to the fact that sheriff's deputies were stationed just yards away.

The incident occurred when the trio forced entry into a local residence. Once inside, they confronted and physically assaulted a female resident who was home at the time. However, the suspects' timing could not have been worse. Deputies were already in the immediate neighborhood conducting an unrelated investigation and heard the disturbance.

Responding to the victim's calls for help, the nearby deputies immediately rushed to the home. They caught the suspects in the act, preventing further injury to the victim and taking all three individuals into custody on the spot.

The victim received medical attention at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. The three suspects are facing heavy charges, including burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault or battery, and are being held in the county jail.
