Fleeing Burglary Suspect Crashes Vehicle Into Southwest Miami-Dade Home

SW MIAMI-DADE, FL — A burglary suspect fleeing police crashed their vehicle into a residential home in Southwest Miami-Dade, causing substantial structural damage.

The incident occurred on May 6, 2026, when deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers spotted the suspect attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle. A brief pursuit ensued before the driver lost control and crashed directly into a nearby house.

Fortunately, residents inside the home were not injured during the crash. The suspect was immediately apprehended by deputies at the scene and taken to a hospital for evaluation before booking.
