Man, woman arrested in connection with armed robbery in northeast Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE, Florida — Police have taken a man and a woman into custody in connection with an armed robbery that took place in a northeast Miami-Dade neighborhood, recovering the weapon used and the stolen property.

According to investigators, the two suspects confronted a victim in northeast Miami-Dade, displaying a firearm and demanding their personal belongings. Fearing for their safety, the victim surrendered their items, and the suspects fled the scene together.

Shortly after the robbery was reported, responding officers spotted individuals matching the suspect descriptions nearby. When officers attempted to stop them, the suspects tried to evade police but were quickly cornered and arrested. A firearm and the victim's stolen property were recovered during the arrest.

Both suspects have been charged with armed robbery with a firearm and are currently being held at the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department. Police are investigating if the duo may be linked to other recent robberies in the area.
