Burglars Tunnel Through Wall to Rob Miami Jewelry Store

MIAMI, FL — A Miami jewelry store was the target of a meticulous break-in where burglars tunneled through a concrete wall to bypass the front security gates and alarm sensors.

The incident, captured on surveillance video, shows the suspects entering an adjacent vacant suite or service corridor before breaching the wall of the jewelry shop. By digging a hole directly into the store, the thieves managed to avoid triggering the primary door alarms and motion sensors located near the storefront.

Once inside the shop, the burglars quickly emptied display cases of precious gems, gold, and watches. The owners discovered the break-in and the structural damage the following morning. Miami Police Department's burglary unit is currently reviewing the video footage and forensic evidence left at the scene in an effort to track down the suspects.
