Minneapolis Police Thwart Gas Station Burglary on Franklin Avenue with Swift Arrest

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — A quick intervention by Minneapolis police officers successfully thwarted an attempted commercial burglary at a gas station located on Franklin Avenue early Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, officers responded to a security alarm and reports of suspicious activity at the gas station premises on June 18, 2025. Upon arriving at the scene within minutes, officers discovered signs of forced entry. The suspect, who was still inside the business attempting to gather merchandise and cash, was quickly surrounded and taken into custody without incident.
