Two Mobile Men Arrested After Assaulting Clerk, Stealing Firearm in Convenience Store Robbery

MOBILE, Alabama — Two local men are facing serious charges after they allegedly assaulted a convenience store employee and stole a firearm during a robbery, according to the Mobile Police Department.

The incident escalated when the two suspects entered the convenience store and confronted the clerk. During the confrontation, the suspects physically assaulted the clerk and managed to steal a firearm that was on the premises. MPD officers responded quickly to the location and were able to track down and apprehend both suspects shortly after the crime occurred.

The injured clerk was treated for minor injuries sustained during the physical altercation. The two suspects face charges including robbery, assault, and theft of a firearm. They are currently being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail as the investigation remains ongoing.
