Teen charged in 3 armed robberies at Montgomery gas stations
MONTGOMERY, Ala. โ An 18-year-old Montgomery teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of armed robberies that targeted local gas stations over a short span, local authorities announced.
Perrion Jerimairya Savage, 18, was taken into custody following a coordinated operation by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and the Montgomery Police Department's Metro Area Crime Suppression (MACS) Unit. Investigators linked Savage to three distinct armed robberies, all occurring at Marathon gas stations within the city limits. The robberies involved the suspect entering the businesses, brandishing a firearm, and demanding cash from store clerks under threat of death.
During at least one of the robberies, the situation escalated when the suspect discharged a firearm inside the convenience store. While the gunfire caused panic among employees and customers, police reported that no injuries occurred. Investigators recovered evidence from the scenes connecting Savage to all three holdups, leading to the swift intervention of federal and local law enforcement partners.
Savage has been charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, a Class A felony in the state of Alabama. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he is currently being held without bond pending further legal proceedings.
